To announce the arrival of the new Sony Bravia flat-screens a few years back, Sony commissioned a series of startlingly beautiful, light-hearted commercials, all centered around the idea of “color, like no other”.
Though they never actually lit up the screen on our 12-year old hand-me-down TV, once we found the commercials on YouTube, we loved them so much we watched them ‘till our head hurt.
Our two favorites? “Bouncy Balls” starring 250,000 multi-colored rubber balls shot from cannons, bouncing down the streets of San Francisco and “Paint,” which features a joyous rainbow of paint exploding (think liquid fireworks) all over a grim, scheduled-for-demolition Glasgow apartment complex. Have a look and start your week with a smile.
