Perry Ellis: speeding to the finish line!

What sport has 1.7 million television viewers and is broadcast to over 344 million homes across 203 nations??? Easy! The IndyCar Series! And guess which brand is getting ready to tap into that vast new resource of consumers! You guessed it … Perry Ellis!

There is nothing that Perry Ellis loves to do more than innovate … try new things … break new ground. And we are off and running with the concept this fall as we join forces with the IndyCar Series to meet and greet new customers and empower our local communities. A definite win/win! Our kind of race. Suffice to say that Perry Ellis believes we are off and running with an exciting new sports partnership!

Beginning this fall, Perry Ellis will be conducting five events with Indy and five of our most valued retail partners---and a car is already proudly sporting the Perry Ellis logo as it spins around and around the track!

We will be conducting in-store events in five cities this fall … check them out for yourself below! And, as Indianapolis is the home of the legendary Indy 500, you can expect to see a star-studded lineup of guests for that event!

Thurs, Aug 20: San Francisco (precedes an actual weekend race)
Thurs, Aug 27: Chicago (precedes a race)
Sat, Sept 12: Indianapolis (does not precede a race, but is the headquarters for Indy racing and has a huge fan base)
Sat, Sept 26: St. Louis (does not precede an actual race, but has a huge racing fan base)
Thurs, Oct 8: Miami (precedes an actual race, the last of the season)

But you can rest assured that Perry Ellis is never going to lose focus on our struggling communities right now (PERRY CARES!). Our gift-with-purchase will be a gift card that will be a give-back to the local community in some meaningful way. That is the way Perry Ellis likes to do business.

Indy also has a children’s charity, Racing For Kids, which Perry Ellis will support with 10% of the proceeds for sales from our events.

We will also put together a VIP Racing Package as a drawing for each of the five events that will include perks not usually accessible to racing fans … and ones they would DIE to get their hands on … such as the opportunity to meet the driver, passes to the pit, access to the VIP lounge, etc.

Indy (who have been incredibly generous with us for this promotion) will also support the event series with the following:

1) Dedicated PE press releases to our Media Distribution List for each event (includes national, regional and local media)
2) Strategic promotion through motorsports industry digital media (i.e. message boards, motorsports-specific fan sites, etc.)
3) Print Media in each market

We will also be doing an eBlast to leverage Indy’s proprietary distribution list (close to 300,000 names) and their vast network of stakeholders, offering a Friends and Family discount with a promo code that could be redeemed either online or at retail. We will offer this promotion during the 30-day window of our events.
